Special short commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Bananya series.
When I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar world.
In front of me was a cat peeking out of a banana, a "Bananya."
I couldn't believe my eyes. For some reason, my body was also made of a banana...

Where it came from
The Bananya 10th Anniversary Special was produced in 2026 by Studio Lesprit to commemorate a decade since the original debut of the beloved cat-in-a-banana franchise. This special serves as both a retrospective of the series' evolution and a celebration of its cultural impact, bridging the gap between the initial experimental short-form animations and the global merchandising phenomenon that followed.
The design of this anniversary release honors the minimalist, surrealist aesthetic established by creator Miyuki அலுவலக. By focusing on the interplay between simple character iconography and playful, whimsical narratives, the studio aimed to evoke the same charm that defined the 2016 original while incorporating updated, high-fidelity animation techniques to mark the franchise's maturation over the last ten years.
