Based on the erotic game by Prekano.
On the first day of his residency at the hospital, the first step to fulfilling his dream of becoming a doctor, Takuya met his childhood friend Mio for the first time in many years. She was now a nurse and showed him around during his busy training days.
One day, he fell down the stairs while protecting her and broke his right arm and left leg. As a result, his residency was put on hold while he was hospitalized. He was placed in Mio’s ward and she felt responsible for the accident. To cheer her up, he suggested that she could take care of him whenever she has free time, to which she readily agreed. It is the beginning of a hospital love story between a medical intern and a nurse who would go above her duties to take care of him.

Where it came from
Boku to Nurse no Kenshuu Nisshi The Animation is a two-episode original video animation (OVA) series released in 2018 by the studio Pink Pineapple. It serves as an adaptation of an adult visual novel, reflecting the studio's long-standing focus on producing niche erotic animation for the direct-to-video market. The production follows the conventions of the studio's era, prioritizing character-driven tropes common in the medium at the time.
The aesthetic and narrative design are centered on standard domestic and workplace-based romantic scenarios typical of the visual novel genre from which it is derived. While Pink Pineapple has been a prolific entity in the adult animation industry since the 1990s, this specific title represents a standard iteration of their production model. It was produced primarily for a specific domestic consumer base in Japan and received a targeted release consistent with other genre works of that year.
