Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress Season 3

Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress Season 3, produced by Kinema Citrus and released in 2023, serves as the concluding chapter of the will+Dress arc within the long-running Vanguard franchise. The series continues the story of Yu-yu Kondo and the team known as Team Blackout, focusing on their participation in the high-stakes Deluxe tournament. This season emphasizes the emotional growth of the characters and the evolving strategic complexity of the card game, maintaining the high-octane visual identity that Kinema Citrus established for the franchise since they took over animation production.

The visual design of the series balances the technical requirements of representing the card game mechanics with the character-driven narrative typical of the modern Vanguard era. Character designs continue to be based on the aesthetic sensibilities of CLAMP, whose influence has been a hallmark of the series since its 2021 reboot. The season was received by the fanbase as a decisive conclusion to the internal conflicts of the tournament arc, praised for its refined animation quality and its commitment to integrating the physical card game’s newest expansion sets into the core storyline.
