Chao Shen Xueyuan: Zhi Hei Jia

Chao Shen Xueyuan: Zhi Hei Jia, or Super Seminary: Black Armour, was produced by Transcendence Picture as a pivotal installment in the broader Super Seminary franchise. Released in the mid-2010s, it represents a departure from the earlier, more experimental entries of the series, shifting toward a more polished 3D animation style that aligns with the aesthetic standards of modern Chinese web-based animation. The project was created to expand the narrative universe, focusing on the character-driven conflicts and sci-fi warfare that define the franchise's overarching lore.

The design of Black Armour emphasizes a synthesis of tactical military equipment and futuristic fantasy elements, a visual language crafted to distinguish it within the saturated market of Chinese original net animations. Directed and designed by the creative team at Transcendence Picture, the work aimed to deliver a more mature, darker tone than its predecessors. While it received significant attention for its technical ambition in rendered action sequences, it remains a quintessential example of the studio's push to elevate local 3D animation production values during a period of rapid industry growth.
