We all wish we could go back in time, to turn back the clock and fix the past. But in this reality, that simple wish brings about something deadly—demons that devour time! It’s up to a group of strong warriors who fight using time manipulation to destroy these blights. Victor, Kiri, Mina, and Blaze have what it takes to maintain the balance of time as the chosen fighters—the Chronos Rulers.

Where it came from
Chronos Ruler was produced by studio project No.9 and premiered as a television series in 2017. The series is based on the Taiwanese manga series Rulers of the Time, written and illustrated by Pon Jea. The adaptation brought the original narrative—a story centered on warriors who battle time-eating demons known as Horologium—into the anime medium, focusing on the duo of Kiri and Victor as they seek to recover their lost time.
The animation design sought to balance the frenetic energy of supernatural combat with the series' underlying themes of memory and familial connection. While the series attracted interest for its unique premise involving time manipulation, it received a modest reception from viewers and critics upon its release, often categorized within the supernatural action subgenre of the mid-2010s.
