There's a coffee shop that attracts a lot of customers, but not because of the coffe, but because of the waitresses who are all married women wearing outfits that normal waitresses wouldn't wear.
But the story focuses more on the love life of Asahina Tomoya who's the temporary owner of the coffee shop.

Where it came from
Cosplay Cafe was released in 2004 by Milky Animation Label as a two-episode original video animation series. Produced during a period when the burgeoning maid cafe culture in Tokyo's Akihabara district was gaining significant mainstream attention, the series sought to capitalize on the aesthetic popularity of cosplay and service-industry tropes within the otaku subculture of the mid-2000s.
The production leans into the visual conventions of the era’s slice-of-life anime, focusing on the lighthearted and humorous interactions between staff members and customers. As a representative of a niche boutique studio, the series was designed as a low-budget, character-driven project, finding a specific audience among fans of the emerging aesthetic trends in late-night broadcast and direct-to-video animation of the early 2000s.
