Based on the erotic game by Pin-Point.
Aya, a waitress at a cosplay cafe, receives an E-mail asking her to go to an anime convention, for which she'll be paid as much as she wants, but with one condition: to obey all the males' orders. She ends up going out of curiosity, but the normal perversity among the otaku and her own dirty thoughts turn the photo session into an exhibitionism session.

Where it came from
Cosplay Roshutsu Kenkyuukai, released in 2011 by Studio 9 Maiami, represents a niche entry in the adult animation landscape of the early 2010s. Produced as an original video animation, or OVA, the work emerged during a period when independent studios were increasingly focused on specialized sub-genres, leaning into character-driven scenarios and experimental animation techniques to distinguish their output in a crowded market.
The creative direction for this title centered on the intersection of costume culture and character-focused narratives, reflecting the studio's broader interest in character-centric design. While the production serves as a specific artifact of its time and genre, it was received primarily within dedicated collector circles, where its visual style and thematic approach were evaluated based on the studio's technical execution and the specific aesthetic standards of the 2011 Japanese adult animation scene.
