A collection of short stories, ranging from soap opera (the Ami series) to fantasy (Rall series) to horror (Cream Lemon Dark) to parody (Pop Chaser). It does deal with a lot of heavy perversions ranging from S&M, male rape (by a bunch of females, that is), bondage, torture, yuri (lesbian love) and incest.

Where it came from
The Cream Lemon series emerged from the Japanese animation industry during the mid-1980s as a pioneering experiment in the direct-to-video market. Produced by Studio Fairy Dust and launched in 1984, the series was designed to explore mature narrative themes outside the constraints of broadcast television. It is historically significant for being one of the first major anime franchises to utilize the Original Video Animation format, which allowed for creative flexibility and niche targeting during a period of rapid expansion in home video distribution.
The series is noted for its eclectic mix of genres, ranging from supernatural fantasy to light-hearted romantic comedies, often blending experimental visual styles with traditional cel animation techniques. While the franchise is often categorized by its adult-oriented content, its early installments were recognized for their influence on the development of the OVA industry, setting a precedent for how independent studios could monetize niche audiences through catalog-based distribution rather than serialized television runs.
