Where it came from
Curry Meshi × Zombie Land Saga is a promotional original net animation released in 2019 as a collaborative marketing campaign between Nissin Food Products and the anime series Zombie Land Saga. The short was designed to promote Nissin's instant curry brand, Curry Meshi, by integrating the show's undead idol group, Franchouchou, into a high-energy advertisement that mimicked the aesthetic and musical style of the original series.
The animation was produced by MAPPA, the studio behind the primary series, ensuring stylistic continuity in character design and comedic timing. It was received favorably by fans of the franchise for its authentic adherence to the show's chaotic tone and for effectively blending brand product placement with the established personalities of the lead characters, becoming a recognized piece of promotional media within the larger Zombie Land Saga catalog.
