Cyborg 009 was produced by Toei Animation and originally aired in 1979 as the second television adaptation of Shotaro Ishinomori’s pioneering manga series. The series focuses on nine individuals from around the world who are abducted and transformed into cyborgs by the nefarious Black Ghost organization, eventually rebelling to protect global peace.
