Tetsuya's investigation into a luxurious hotel turns over a nest of yakuza and a bizarre orgy cult. On rich silk sheets and velvet chairs, the rich and powerful participate in sex acts so depraved that just witnessing them is likely to turn a man into a monster. But the true purpose of this cult is a pact with evil energies that can literally turn Tetsuya into an inhuman demon.

Where it came from
Dark Love was produced by the studio Green Bunny and released in 2005. The title emerged during a period of prolific output for the studio, which was known for its contribution to the adult anime market during the early 2000s. As an original video animation, or OVA, the project was designed for the direct-to-consumer home media market, a common distribution model for independent studios of that era seeking to bypass television broadcast restrictions.
The production reflects the stylistic norms of mid-2000s adult animation, focusing on the character-driven narrative tropes popular within the genre at the time. Like many works from Green Bunny, the design elements were aimed at a niche demographic of collectors interested in studio-specific animation aesthetics. While the work received little critical coverage outside of enthusiast circles, it remains documented as part of the studio's expansive catalog of independent adult media.
