Delivery Kitten Unyan (2026)

Delivery Kitten Unyan emerged in 2026 as a flagship project for Studio Nanahoshi, a boutique animation house known for its focus on character-driven digital shorts. Conceived during a period of experimentation in the ONA format, the series was designed to explore the intersection of rapid, high-quality animation and the growing cultural appetite for hyper-cozy, episodic storytelling. The narrative follows a feline courier navigating a whimsical, stylized urban environment, utilizing a soft, pastel-heavy color palette that distinguishes it from more traditional, high-contrast action animations of the same era.

The character design was spearheaded by the lead creative team at Studio Nanahoshi, who aimed to create a mascot-style protagonist capable of conveying complex emotion through minimal dialogue and nuanced kinetic motion. The series was received favorably by critics and digital audiences alike, who lauded its technical fluidity and the distinct, hand-drawn aesthetic that defined the studio's early output. It remains a hallmark of the studio’s commitment to short-form storytelling, capturing a moment in the mid-2020s when digital platforms prioritized intimate, low-stakes animated experiences.
