All things possess a spirit, and the power of nature coalesced into various conscious fairies. However, due to humanity's neglect of nature and the awakening of suppressed powers, the fairies have been harmed. A human girl encounters a fairy from the depths of the water and they have known each other for many years. However, they cannot overcome the barrier between celestial and mortal. On a wondrous journey, the girl resolves to find her own power. She believes that humanity is also part of nature, and that there must be a way for humans and nature to coexist harmoniously. Can she protect nature?

Where it came from
Di Ling Ai, also known as Spiritpact, originated as a popular Chinese web manhua before being adapted into the ONA series Mo Shui Linglong by the animation studio Motion Magic. Released in the mid-2010s, this production reflects the burgeoning trend of Chinese-produced animation—or donghua—targeting young adult audiences with a blend of supernatural themes and intricate character dynamics, mirroring the aesthetic sensibilities of modern web-based storytelling.
The character design and visual direction were crafted to align with the source material's stylized supernatural atmosphere, focusing on a balance between traditional aesthetics and modern digital animation techniques. As an ONA released via streaming platforms, the series gained significant traction for its exploration of themes regarding loyalty and destiny, ultimately contributing to the studio's visibility within the competitive landscape of online serialized animation.
