Diabolik Lovers Ⅱ : More,blood

Diabolik Lovers II: More, Blood was released in 2015 as the second television anime adaptation based on the Japanese otome visual novel series developed by Rejet. Produced by the animation studio ZEXCS, the series continues the narrative of Yui Komori and the vampiric Sakamaki brothers, while introducing the Mukami brothers, a new set of vampires seeking to change their fate. The production sought to build upon the atmospheric, gothic melodrama established in the first season, focusing on the dark romance tropes and character-driven interactions that defined the original franchise.

The series design aesthetic maintains the polished, edgy character profiles typical of the early 2010s josei-oriented anime market, emphasizing the brooding visuals that characterize the Diabolik Lovers brand. Directed by Risako Yoshida, the show was crafted to appeal primarily to fans of the original voice-acting-heavy visual novels, prioritizing the delivery of intense, character-centric dialogue and high-tension scenarios. While the narrative style received mixed reviews from general critics due to its polarizing tropes, it remained a successful extension of the multimedia franchise's commercial strategy.
