Digimon Savers 3D: Digital World Kiki Ippatsu!

Released in 2006, Digimon Savers 3D: Digital World Kiki Ippatsu! was a short-form theatrical production created to capitalize on the popularity of the fifth anime series in the Digimon franchise, Digimon Data Squad. It was produced by Toei Animation as part of the Toei Anime Fair, an event series designed to showcase high-concept, short-duration shorts alongside longer features, utilizing stereoscopic 3D technology to offer a visually immersive experience for cinema audiences.

The short features the main cast of the Data Squad series as they navigate a chaotic crisis within the Digital World. The design and animation direction focused on optimizing character models for a 3D environment, emphasizing depth and spatial perspective over the traditional hand-drawn aesthetics of the television series. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a novelty tie-in for the franchise, serving as a technical showcase for the studio's early experimentation with digital stereoscopy in the mid-2000s.
