Digimon Savers THE MOVIE: Kyuukyoku Power! Burst Mode Hatsudou!!

Released in 2006, Digimon Savers The Movie: Kyuukyoku Power! Burst Mode Hatsudou!! served as a theatrical companion to the Digimon Data Squad television series. Produced by Toei Animation, the film was designed to bridge the gap between the show's narrative arcs, showcasing the peak abilities of the main partners and introducing an original antagonist, Argomon. It debuted alongside other animated features in the Toei Anime Fair, a long-standing tradition for the studio to showcase its prominent television properties to cinema audiences.

The film's visual direction adhered to the aesthetic established by the series, maintaining a focus on dynamic combat sequences and the evolution mechanics central to the franchise. The production sought to elevate the stakes for the series protagonists, Masaru Daimon and his partner Agumon, by featuring the 'Burst Mode'—a heightened power state that had only recently been introduced in the broadcast version. While primarily aimed at the show's existing young audience, the film is often noted by enthusiasts for its polished character animation and the role it played in cementing the tone of the Data Squad era.
