Dokidoki Gakuen Kessen!! Youki Daimashiro

Released in 1988, Dokidoki Gakuen Kessen!! Youki Daimashiro is an original video animation that serves as an adaptation of the popular Dokidoki Gakuen sticker series produced by the Japanese confectionery company Furuta. The franchise gained prominence during the late 1980s by combining collectible sticker sets with narrative world-building, tapping into the prevailing trend of toy-to-animation multimedia tie-ins that defined children's entertainment in the bubble economy era.

The production sought to capture the high-energy, whimsical fantasy aesthetic characteristic of Shonen manga from the period. By translating the static, colorful character designs from the stickers into animated sequences, the OVA aimed to provide fans with a deeper look at the conflict between the students of Dokidoki Academy and the various supernatural threats they encounter. While the animation style is considered a hallmark of its time, the release remains primarily a nostalgic artifact for collectors of 1980s Japanese commercial media and sticker-based franchises.
