Douluo Dalu: Qian Hua Xi Jin

Douluo Dalu: Qian Hua Xi Jin, translated as Soul Land: Splendid Flowers, is a special animated spin-off produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures. It was released to expand the narrative universe of the massively popular Soul Land franchise, which is based on the web novel series by Tang Jia San Shao. The production serves as a visual bridge for the long-running 3D donghua adaptation, focusing on aesthetic refinement and character-driven vignettes that complement the high-fantasy martial arts setting of the original series.

The visual design follows the established high-fidelity 3D aesthetic of the Sparkly Key Animation studio, known for its emphasis on intricate costume detail and fluid combat choreography. The series was designed to showcase technical advancements in rendering and character modeling within the Tencent ecosystem. Upon release, it was well-received by the existing fanbase as a polished expansion, praised for its artistic departure from the main series' primary plot while maintaining the core fantasy tropes and character archetypes of the franchise.
