Dr. STONE New World

Dr. STONE New World constitutes the third season of the anime adaptation based on the popular manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. Produced by TMS Entertainment and distributed by Toho, this season focuses on the Age of Exploration arc, as the protagonist Senku Ishigami and his allies attempt to sail across the ocean to uncover the mysteries behind the global petrification event. The production maintains the series' characteristic blend of rigorous scientific explanation and shonen-style character dynamics, aiming to balance educational outreach with high-stakes narrative tension.

The animation direction for this season continued to refine the distinctive visual style established by Boichi in the original manga, which is noted for its high level of detail and expressive character designs. Directed by Shuhei Matsushita, the series sought to capture the ambitious scope of the seafaring journey while adhering to the established aesthetic of the Kingdom of Science. Upon its 2023 release, the season was received as a faithful expansion of the source material, praised by audiences for its pacing and the introduction of new technical challenges that drive the central plot forward.
