Ero Manga! H mo Manga mo Step-up♪

Ero Manga! H mo Manga mo Step-up♪ was released in 2015 as an adult-oriented original video animation produced by the studio Collaboration Works. The production emerged from a niche market within the Japanese animation industry that focuses on adapting or creating narrative-driven adult content, often drawing inspiration from the visual aesthetics and tropes popularized by contemporary manga and light novel trends of the mid-2010s.

The project represents a common collaborative effort among small-to-mid-sized animation studios of that era, which frequently utilized freelance staff to handle character design and storyboarding. While the specific individual designers are often credited under pseudonyms or production house collectives in these types of releases, the work was designed to appeal specifically to enthusiasts of the 'step-up' or instructional comedy sub-genre, aiming to balance character-focused narratives with specific adult thematic elements prevalent in the 2015 independent OVA landscape.
