Haramasete Seiryuu-kun!

Haramasete Seiryuu-kun! was produced by the studio Pixy and released in 2011 as an adult original video animation. It emerged during a period when independent studios were increasingly utilizing digital animation techniques to create niche, character-driven works for the direct-to-video market. The production follows the conventions of the genre prevalent at the time, focusing on specific tropes and high-contrast visual character designs intended to appeal to a dedicated domestic audience.

The visual direction and character illustrations are typical of Pixy’s output during this era, prioritizing expressive, stylized features that emphasize the intended atmosphere of the animation. Like many releases from smaller independent studios in the early 2010s, the title was distributed primarily through specialist retail channels in Japan. It was received largely as a representative entry within its specific subgenre, reflecting the broader aesthetic and thematic trends common to indie-produced adult media of the early 21st century.
