Where it came from
Harimaware! Koinu was produced by Studio Pierrot and premiered in 2024 as a series of short-form anime episodes. The series is based on the manga by Seibu Gekijō and follows the daily life of a small, energetic dog who works a variety of part-time jobs. It was developed to provide a lighthearted and relatable look at the modern workforce through a whimsical, anthropomorphic lens, leaning into the popular trend of comforting, slice-of-life storytelling.
The character design reflects a minimalist and expressive aesthetic, emphasizing the dog’s wide-eyed enthusiasm regardless of the mundane tasks he performs.
