The girly but bloody otome game re-imagining of Lewis Carroll's classic fantasy novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with bishounen characters and added romance.
A parody of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland where Alice is smart and non-doormatlike.
In this story, Alice is not all what she seems. She is practical, strong, yet darkly cynical. Instead of the tradition story, Alice is kidnapped unwillingly by a mysterious (yet somewhat bishie-looking) man with bunny ears into a place call Heartland. Stuck in Heartland due to a trick by the mysterious bunny eared man, she meets the residents of this world. Along the way, Alice meets Blood, handsome mafia leader; Ace, the psycho yet charming knight and more... What should Alice do in such a world!?

Where it came from
Heart no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World was released in 2011 as an animated feature film adaptation of the popular otome game series created by QuinRose. Produced by Asahi Production, the film aimed to translate the surreal, gothic reimagining of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland into an anime format, focusing on the protagonist Alice Liddell and her interactions with the eccentric, dangerous men of Heartland.
The character designs were inspired by Mamenosuke Fujimaru’s original illustrations, which defined the series' distinct aesthetic of Victorian-inspired fantasy blended with a dark, psychological undertone. While the production faced the challenge of condensing a non-linear visual novel narrative into a feature-length format, it was received as a stylistic effort to satisfy the established fanbase's desire to see the characters animated in motion rather than just through static in-game sprites.
