Where it came from
HELLO CALLiNG is an animated short film and collaborative project produced by FLAT STUDIO, a creative studio founded by the artist loundraw. The project was conceived as an experimental bridge between traditional animation techniques and modern digital aesthetics, serving as a showcase for the studio's distinctive visual language that prioritizes atmospheric lighting and nuanced character movement.
The film was crafted to explore themes of connectivity and the ephemeral nature of communication in a digital age. Known for his work in light-drenched, melancholic animation, loundraw directed the project to emphasize the interplay between sharp character designs and soft, painterly backgrounds. It received positive attention within the animation community for its high production values and serves as a representative example of the studio's commitment to independent, narrative-driven storytelling.
