Hi-DRIVERS!

Hi-DRIVERS! is a multimedia project produced by the renowned animation studio Sunrise, officially unveiled in 2022. The initiative was developed as a creative venture into the 'character song' genre, blending the studio's expertise in high-energy character design with a contemporary music-focused narrative. It centers on the intense world of competitive racing, specifically featuring drivers who embody distinct personalities and styles intended to appeal to a broad demographic interested in both motorsports aesthetics and character-driven storytelling.

The character designs were crafted to be visually distinct, emphasizing vibrant color palettes and modern streetwear silhouettes that align with the project's high-octane theme. Sunrise leaned into their history of producing action-oriented animation to give the series a dynamic visual identity, pairing each character with original vocal tracks performed by a cast of notable voice actors. The project was received as a stylistic expansion for the studio, positioning itself within the competitive landscape of idol-adjacent media while maintaining the polish and artistic cohesion associated with Sunrise's production standards.
