Mikio returns to his hometown for the first time in half a year. The first thing he sees is the traditional Japanese onsen inn managed by Yukino Chitose, childhood friend and one-time lover.
Despite the passing of half a year, Chitose still possessed a girlish appearance. However, the traditional clothes that she wears brings out a mature and beautiful feel about her.
That night, upon conclusion of his business, he goes in search of Chitose. Hearing her voice, he follows it and comes to an outdoor bath. Peeking through a gap in the bamboo fence, he is stunned to see her with another man...

Where it came from
Hitou Meguri Kakure Yu was released by the studio Mary Jane in 2010 as an adult-oriented original video animation. It serves as a representative example of the studio's early 2010s output, which typically focused on specific atmospheric and slice-of-life themes within the erotic animation genre. The production reflects the industry's shift toward digital animation techniques during this period, prioritizing character-focused narratives set against stylized, tranquil environments.
The aesthetic design and direction of this title were driven by the studio’s internal creative team, aiming to craft an experience centered on the trope of secret or hidden hot springs. The visual direction emphasizes a relaxed, leisurely pacing, intended to balance the erotic content with a sense of escape or discovery. Upon its release, it was received primarily within the niche market of OVA consumers who favored the studio’s signature style of character animation.
