Where it came from
Iizuka-senpai × Blazer: Ane Kyun! Yori THE ANIMATION was released in 2016 as an adult-oriented original video animation produced by MS Pictures. The project was adapted from the adult manga series Ane Kyun!, which follows the tropes of the romantic comedy genre within the niche of boutique animation studios focusing on adult content during the mid-2010s.
The production sought to translate the specific aesthetic and character designs of the original manga into a short-form animated format. As is common for titles of this nature, the animation focused on character-driven scenarios and fan-service elements. Upon its release, it was distributed primarily within specialized retail markets for adult anime, aimed squarely at established fans of the source material and the specific stylistic output of MS Pictures.
