Jie Moren

Jie Moren, also known as The King's Avatar in its broader franchise context, emerged as a significant piece of Chinese web literature before being adapted by Tencent Animation & Comics. The series was designed to translate the high-stakes world of competitive professional esports into a serialized ONA format, capturing the intricate tactical nature of gaming. It represents a milestone in the growth of the Chinese animation industry, aiming to provide a polished, high-fidelity visual experience that matches the depth of its source material.

The production utilized advanced 3D character modeling and dynamic cinematography to distinguish itself from traditional 2D animation, a creative choice intended to immerse the audience in the fictional game environment of Glory. Upon release, it was well-received by both domestic and international audiences for its faithful character development and fluid combat choreography, effectively establishing itself as a flagship title for Tencent's animation division.
