Where it came from
Jigu-eui Juin-eun Goyang-ida, or The Earth's Owner is a Cat, was developed by Studio Soul Creative as a specialized animated series. The project emerged from the South Korean animation industry's growing interest in producing short-form, narrative-driven content designed for digital platforms and younger demographics who consume media in concise, episodic bursts.
The series emphasizes a whimsical and lighthearted design aesthetic, focusing on expressive character animation to portray the anthropomorphic behavior of cats in human settings. Upon its release, the series was received as a gentle exploration of the pet-owner dynamic, lauded for its clean, modern artistic direction and its ability to capture the specific, often humorous mannerisms of its feline subjects within a stylized, imaginative framework.
