Jin Guang Yu Jiu Jie: Dong Huang Zhan Ying

Jin Guang Yu Jiu Jie: Dong Huang Zhan Ying, released in 2016, represents a significant installment in the Jin Guang puppet drama series, a traditional Taiwanese art form known as Pili-style glove puppetry. The series was produced by the Jin Guang Multimedia International team, which has worked to modernize the genre by blending traditional hand-carved puppets with sophisticated digital cinematography, complex lighting, and intense, martial-arts-focused action sequences. This particular chapter continues the intricate, high-stakes political and supernatural narratives that define the franchise.

The character design and puppetry aesthetic were developed under the supervision of the production team's long-standing creative leads, who prioritize a balance between classical craftsmanship and expressive mobility for combat. The series is widely regarded by enthusiasts for its dense, multi-layered scripts and the evolution of its physical puppetry, which has moved toward more fluid articulation. Upon its release, it received acclaim for sustaining the dramatic intensity expected of the Jin Guang universe while expanding the world-building of the Dong Huang region.
