Giorno Giovanna, a young man living in Naples, has the blood of DIO -- the eternal enemy of the Joestar clan -- running in his veins. Giorno becomes a delinquent due to being persecuted since childhood. However, he's led back onto the right path thanks to a gangster who saved him and taught him to believe in others. Bizarrely enough, this gang of people who didn't forget honor, gratitude, and respect made him reform. This is how Giorno came to admire gangsters. In the backstreets of Italy, Giorno causes trouble alongside his gang "Passione," and ends up being targeted...

Where it came from
Golden Wind, or Vento Aureo, serves as the fourth animated season of the long-running JoJo's Bizarre Adventure television series produced by David Production. Premiering in 2018, the adaptation brought Hirohiko Araki’s manga arc to the screen, centering on Giorno Giovanna’s quest to reform the Italian gang Passione. The production is widely noted for its vibrant, high-contrast color palette and fluid animation style, which effectively captured the series' signature blend of high-stakes action and avant-garde aesthetic.
The series was directed by Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi, with Naokatsu Tsuda serving as chief director. The creative team aimed to lean heavily into the distinct fashion-forward character designs and surreal supernatural abilities—known as Stands—that define the franchise. Upon release, the series received significant critical acclaim, particularly for its pacing, atmospheric direction, and the nuanced musical score by Yugo Kanno, ultimately solidifying its place as a standout entry in the adaptation of Araki's expansive body of work.
