Kakkoii 1-nensei ni Naru made no 3-tsu no Yakusoku

Kakkoii 1-nensei ni Naru made no 3-tsu no Yakusoku, which translates to 'Three Promises Before Becoming a Cool First Grader,' is a Japanese educational OVA produced in the early 2000s. It was designed primarily as a didactic tool for children entering the Japanese primary school system, focusing on behavioral expectations and social etiquette. By framing these life lessons within the medium of animation, the producers aimed to lower the anxiety often associated with the transition to formal schooling.

The production follows a tradition of Japanese instructional media that utilizes familiar character archetypes to deliver moral guidance. While the animation style reflects the modest budget common to educational niche titles of its era, it was received as a helpful supplemental resource for educators and parents. It serves as a historical document of how Japanese educational values were packaged and presented to young students during that period.
