In this world, is where the magical world of “Holocas World” exists, created when the light of people's hearts, “Holo” is gathered through the “Holocas” streaming app. The six protagonists: Kanata, Miko, Luna, Shion, Chloe, and Marine are usually active as “Holocas” streamers.
The “Yumeochi” phenomenon occurs when people who are anxious or stressed in their daily lives and have lost their positive attitude are sucked into the “Holocas World” with their souls. The “Collapser” monsters are birthed by a build-up of “Yumeochi". In order to defeat a "Collapser", these streamers are given the power to transform into magical girls called “holoWitches” and spend their days fighting to defeat Collapsers and save those who have fallen into a "Yumeochi" state.
What is “Yumeochi”? The story of these magical girls who fight against the dark forces and bring dreams and hope to people begins.

Where it came from
Magical Girl holoWitches! is a short-form animated production released by Cover Corp, the parent company behind the Hololive production label. Created as a creative exercise to celebrate the creative versatility of their talent roster, the series adapts the performers into stylized magical girl archetypes. The production fits within the broader tradition of corporate-led multimedia projects that leverage established online personas to explore different narrative genres, specifically the mahou shoujo subgenre of anime.
The aesthetic of the project focuses on vibrant color palettes and high-energy character designs that mirror the personality traits of the featured talent. By distilling the chaotic and expressive nature of their live-streamed content into a cohesive, polished animation format, Cover Corp aimed to bridge the gap between amateur-led digital content and traditional industry-standard animation. It was received as a lighthearted tribute by the existing fanbase, serving as an experimental expansion of the brand's lore.
