Micchiri Neko March Deluxe!

Micchiri Neko March Deluxe! is a mobile rhythm and collection game developed by the Japanese studio Frencel, based on the popular Micchiri Neko franchise. The series originated as a series of short, surreal animated sketches featuring a vast, ever-growing horde of cats that stack and interact in nonsensical, rhythmic patterns. The game adaptation was designed to capitalize on the whimsical, high-energy aesthetic of the original animations, tasking players with collecting diverse feline characters while timing their actions to a catchy, repeating musical loop.

The visual design of the game retains the minimalist, slightly absurd artistic style established in the early web shorts, characterized by simple linework and vibrant, saturated colors. Created as an accessible experience, the game gained a dedicated following among fans of Japanese 'kawaii' culture who appreciated its low-stakes gameplay and the repetitive, hypnotic nature of the cat animations. It serves as an interactive expansion of the studio's broader character brand, focusing on the charm of collecting an increasingly chaotic array of colorful kittens.
