Where it came from
Minami-ke: Korekara, the fourth season of the long-running Minami-ke anime adaptation, premiered in 2013 as part of a series that began in 2007. The franchise is based on the slice-of-life manga by Koharu Sakuraba, which centers on the daily domestic lives of the three Minami sisters. This specific installment was produced by the studio feel., which took over production duties to maintain the gentle, comedic tone established by previous iterations.
The character designs for this season were handled by Go Suzuki, who aimed to preserve the signature aesthetic of Sakuraba’s original art style while adapting it for television animation. The series is widely regarded for its low-stakes, humorous depiction of sibling dynamics and school life, and Korekara was received by fans as a consistent continuation of the series’ relaxed, episodic formula, focusing on character-driven sketches rather than linear narrative progression.
