Four TV movies made from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny series.
1. The Broken World (Kudakareta Sekai)
2. Respective Swords (Sorezore no Ken)
3. The Hell Fire of Destiny (Sadame no Goka)
4. The Cost of Freedom (Jiyuu no Daishou)
Like the three specials of Gundam Seed, these specials feature new or changed scenes of the TV series. However unlike the TV series, which was told in the points of view of main characters Shinn Asuka and Kira Yamato, the Special Edition was told through the eyes of Athrun Zala, giving the movies a much more neutral point of view.

Where it came from
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny Special Edition was released in 2006 as a four-part compilation series produced by Sunrise. These films were created to condense and refine the fifty-episode run of the television series Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, which concluded in 2005. The project was conceived to provide a tighter narrative flow and updated animation sequences, catering to fans who wanted a streamlined viewing experience of the Cosmic Era timeline.
The production was overseen by director Mitsuo Fukuda, who sought to recontextualize the controversial developments of the original series while utilizing new footage and re-recorded dialogue. While the original series drew significant viewership despite mixed critical reception regarding its pacing and character arcs, these special editions were generally received by the core fanbase as a more polished version of the story. They served as a foundational pillar for the resurgence of the Seed franchise, maintaining the aesthetic style established by character designer Hisashi Hirai.
