My Fair Masseuse

My Fair Masseuse was released in 1996 by Media Blasters, a company instrumental in bringing niche Japanese adult animation to Western home video markets during the late 1990s. This OVA belongs to the expansive trend of erotic anime titles licensed for overseas distribution during the height of the direct-to-video market, when production houses sought out short-form adult content to fill out catalogs for curious Western audiences.

The production follows the conventions of the era, focusing on character-driven narratives that emphasize the aesthetic sensibilities of mid-90s anime design. As part of a wave of specialized imports, the title was marketed toward a growing community of enthusiasts who were beginning to explore the breadth of Japanese animation beyond mainstream television series, though it remains a modest, strictly utilitarian entry within the broader context of the studio's extensive archive.
