The "unorthodox hard surreal gag" comedy centers around the narcissistic (narushi na) Hagito and the masochistic (domazo na) Kei. Together they are "Narudoma."
Hagito is a handsome yet pitiful man with a loli complex. Anytime, anywhere, a mirror is his constant companion. Surrounding him are a host of highly idiosyncratic characters: the diehard masochist Kei, the unnaturally strong yet girlish Totono, the exceedingly stylish working stiff Saitou, and the extraordinarily negative Roku. Even the one normal guy has his own issues.

Where it came from
Narudoma debuted in 2015 as a short-form anime television series produced by Kachidoki Studio. The project was conceived as an adaptation of the digital manga series by manga artist Nanaroku, which gained traction for its surreal, deadpan humor and fast-paced gag segments centered on the eccentric interactions between its protagonists.
The studio employed a minimalist, digital animation style typical of late-night experimental shorts of the mid-2010s to reflect the source material's quirky, bite-sized narrative structure. While the production was modest in scope, the series is noted for its idiosyncratic tone and its attempt to translate the erratic rhythm of internet-native webcomics into an episodic broadcast format for Japanese television.
