Where it came from
Net Miracle Shopping, also known as Net Miracle i-pan Chou!, is a Japanese stop-motion animated television series produced by the animation studio Pie in the sky. Released in 2008, the series was designed as a satirical and often surreal take on the world of late-night television infomercials, utilizing a distinctive, low-budget aesthetic that heightens its absurdist comedic tone.
The series was directed by Hiroyuki Nishimoto, who sought to leverage a deadpan delivery and bizarre character interactions to parody consumer culture. It gained a niche following for its unconventional visual style and eccentric scripts, reflecting the experimental spirit of Japanese late-night programming during that period.
