Welcome to the world of the Egyptian gods.
This is where the famous gods of Ancient Egypt, from Anubis to Thoth, live their lives freely.
How freely, you ask? Bastet appears out of nowhere, singing and dancing. Medjed is always stone-faced. Horus works a part-time job. Set is devoted to pulling pranks. Ra's off traveling and rarely comes home... All the Gods basically just do whatever they want!

Where it came from
Oh, Suddenly Egyptian God, or 'Touto Totsu ni Egypt Shin,' originated as a popular series of illustrations by the artist yuka on social media, featuring chibi-style anthropomorphic versions of ancient Egyptian deities. The character designs were characterized by their minimalist aesthetic and humorous, relatable personalities, which sharply contrasted with the traditionally stoic or intimidating depictions of these figures in mythology.
Recognizing the viral potential of the character designs, Typhoon Graphics adapted the illustrations into a series of short-form original net animation (ONA) episodes in 2021. The production aimed to maintain the gentle, comedic tone of the source material through a vibrant and simplified animation style, effectively transitioning the static artwork into a lighthearted exploration of daily life for gods like Anubis and Thoth.
