Oni Chichi 2: harvest

Released in 2015 by the studio PoRO, Oni Chichi 2: Harvest serves as a direct follow-up to the studio's influential 2005 production. It emerged during a period where PoRO had established a distinct, recognizable aesthetic within the adult animation genre, characterized by specific character design archetypes and a focus on melodrama. This installment was produced to capitalize on the cult status of the original, aiming to expand the narrative themes established a decade prior while updating the visual quality to reflect the technical standards of the mid-2010s.

The production maintains the signature art style associated with PoRO's internal creative team, which emphasizes expressive character proportions and a heightened, stylized approach to color and shadow. Upon its release, the title was received primarily within dedicated niche communities, where it was evaluated against the legacy of its predecessor. It remains a representative example of how mid-tier animation studios in this sector revisited older intellectual properties to satisfy long-standing fan demand through episodic continuation.
