Paranoia Agent

Paranoia Agent was produced by the acclaimed studio Madhouse and released in 2004 as the only television series directed by the late visionary Satoshi Kon. The project originated from a surplus of story ideas Kon had collected that did not fit into his feature films, leading him to create a series that deconstructed the anxieties of contemporary Japanese society. By weaving together disparate character narratives connected by a mysterious assailant, the series offered a surreal, psychological critique of modern escapism and trauma.
