Where it came from
Puchi Seka was released in 2022 as an original net animation series produced by Scooter Films to support the multimedia project Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku. The series was designed as a lighthearted, comedic companion to the main game, focusing on the chibi-style versions of the Vocaloid and original characters as they navigate daily life in their respective Sekai worlds.
The animation style draws heavily from the game's in-game 'Puchi' assets, prioritizing a cute, minimalist aesthetic intended to provide fans with a relaxing and humorous look at the characters outside of the intense rhythm gameplay. Upon its release, the shorts were well-received by the existing player base for their charming character interactions and the high quality of the voice acting, which preserved the distinct personalities established in the primary narrative.
