Queen's Blade: UNLIMITED

Queen's Blade: UNLIMITED was released in 2018 as a reboot project for the long-running Queen's Blade franchise, which originated as a series of visual combat books inspired by the Lost Worlds game system. Produced by studio Fortes, this iteration was intended to revitalize the series with a fresh visual direction, moving away from the aesthetic established by the previous anime adaptations while maintaining the property's focus on elaborate character designs and fantasy combat scenarios.

The creative direction for this series emphasized highly detailed character modeling and a distinct artistic style led by various industry veterans, aiming to cater to the core fanbase of the franchise. Upon its release, it was received as a niche entry that served as a thematic bridge between the classic combat books and modern animation techniques, though it remained primarily focused on the established community that had followed the series through its various media formats since the mid-2000s.
