Where it came from
Rainbow Bubblegem is an animated television series produced by the South Korean studio Campfire Aniworks. Developed as a vibrant, magical girl-themed production, the series was created to appeal to younger audiences through a blend of fantasy elements, rhythmic storytelling, and character-driven adventures centered around themes of friendship and self-discovery.
The visual design of the series leans into a high-saturation, pastel-heavy aesthetic, typical of contemporary international co-productions in the magical girl genre. By emphasizing bright, fluid character animation and thematic motifs centered on gemstones and underwater lore, the creators sought to establish a distinct visual identity within the crowded landscape of children's television. Upon its release, it was noted for its polished digital production standards and its accessibility to a global market.
