Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Kyuukei Jikan (Break Time) 4th Season

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Kyuukei Jikan, or Re:Zero Break Time, is a recurring series of comedic short-form animations designed to supplement the main Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World anime. Produced by Studio PuYUKAI under the direction of Minoru Ashina, this fourth season was created to provide a lighthearted, chibi-style counterpoint to the increasingly intense narrative arcs of the main show. These shorts focus on character interactions that allow viewers to explore the mundane or humorous side-lives of the cast in a simplified, expressive art style.

The aesthetic of this series is defined by the distinct 'super-deformed' character designs overseen by Minoru Ashina, who is well-regarded for his ability to translate high-stakes fantasy drama into playful, slapstick vignettes. Released in 2026, this season continues the production studio's tradition of offering fans a brief reprieve from the primary story's heavy themes. The series has been received as a staple companion piece, appreciated by the community for its consistency in tone and its reliance on the chemistry between the established ensemble of voice actors.
