Rising Impact Season 2

Rising Impact Season 2 was released in 2024 as the concluding half of the anime adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki’s debut manga series. Produced by Studio Lay-duce, the ONA format allowed for a focused continuation of the protagonist Gawain Nanaumi’s journey through the world of professional golf. The project was conceived as a long-awaited tribute to the source material, which originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump during the late 1990s and early 2000s, finally bringing the manga’s complete narrative arc to life on screen decades after its print conclusion.

The animation direction and visual style were intended to modernize the classic sports shonen aesthetic while maintaining the charm of Suzuki’s early character designs. By utilizing a contemporary digital production workflow, Lay-duce aimed to capture the intensity of golf tournaments and the growth of the young golfers with more fluidity than would have been possible during the manga's original run. Upon its release, the series was received as a nostalgic yet accessible entry in the sports genre, appreciated for its faithfulness to the heart of the original manga while benefiting from modern technical polish.
