Where it came from
Released in 2018 by the independent studio Selfish, this title is an extreme example of the shock-oriented fringe of the independent animation scene. It emerged from a subset of internet-distributed media that deliberately pushes against societal taboos and traditional distribution norms, prioritizing transgressive, hyper-provocative content over standard narrative development.
The production reflects an aesthetic often associated with 'guro' or underground transgressive animation, utilizing a raw, intentionally unpolished visual style to emphasize its provocative themes. Within its specific niche, it is viewed as a piece of agitprop media intended to elicit a strong visceral response, though it remains largely relegated to the furthest peripheries of online animation subcultures due to its controversial subject matter.
