Winner of smartphone novel company Every Star's MechaTsuku contest.
RS Project takes place in a parallel world that resembles modern Japan, but where alien lifeforms known as "Kikou" (Trick) fell from the sky ten years prior and started attacking humanity. The main characters are a pilot, Mizuru Mido, and her assistant, Fuu Sagami, who use a mecha made out of an enemy's remains. However, battle causes memory loss for the pilot, and they must unravel the mystery as to why.

Where it came from
RS Keikaku: Rebirth Storage was produced by the Japanese mobile gaming company DeNA in 2016 as a standalone special broadcast. It was conceived as a multi-media project designed to test the viability of original anime content for the studio, following their expansion into entertainment beyond their primary focus on gaming applications.
The narrative focuses on a near-future setting where humanity defends itself against mysterious invaders using large-scale mecha, a classic trope of the mecha genre. The visual design leans heavily into the clean, industrial aesthetic common in mid-2010s science fiction anime, though the special is primarily recognized for its experimental approach to short-form storytelling rather than its lasting impact on the genre's canon.
