Where it came from
The Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin promotional video was produced by A-1 Pictures to coincide with the 2014 anime adaptation of Kazuma Otorino’s light novel series. The project was conceived as a vibrant introduction to the story’s setting, the artificial island known as Nanae Island, and was designed to showcase the series' distinct blend of treasure-hunting mystery and lighthearted supernatural comedy.
The visual direction aimed to capture the colorful, high-energy aesthetic of the original light novel illustrations by Akaringo. By emphasizing character expressions and the kinetic nature of the island’s secrets, the promotional material successfully established the tone of the production for a broad audience. It remains a key piece of documentation for the series' marketing campaign, reflecting the studio's approach to adapting contemporary light novel source material.
